Jonathan Bigham Honoured with Contribution to Sports Award at Peterborough Civic Awards

Peterborough Wicketz Development Officer, Jonathan Bigham has been recognised for his outstanding dedication to grassroots sport by receiving the Contribution to Sports Award at the 2025 Peterborough Civic Awards, held at Sand Martin House on 15 May.

Jonathan was nominated by parents of young participants in the Wicketz programme. Their nomination highlighted his commitment to creating safe, inclusive, and inspiring sporting opportunities for young people across Peterborough.

The Peterborough Civic Awards are held annually to celebrate individuals, groups, and organisations who make a lasting impact on their communities. This year’s recipients were honoured at a special ceremony attended by local leaders, community members, and fellow award winners.

Jonathan’s award recognises not only his work on the field but also the positive relationships he has built with families and local communities through sport.
