Cricket East

Cricket East brought the local cricket community together for the 2026 Cricket Collective Awards, celebrating the volunteers, coaches, clubs and community leaders who give so much to the game across Bedfordshire and Huntingdonshire.

More than 70 nominations were received this year, reflecting the breadth of work taking place throughout the two counties. The event recognised people supporting the next generation of players, creating welcoming opportunities for more people to take part and providing years of dedicated service to their clubs and communities.

The awards were hosted by Northamptonshire Cricket, which provided a fitting setting for a special day of recognition and celebration.

The stories shared during the event showed that cricket is about much more than activity on the pitch. It is built on people, passion, commitment and a strong sense of community.
