PitchPower is an app developed by the Football Foundation to help clubs and organisations inspect and improve their grass pitches for various sports, including cricket. The app assesses pitches using their providing personalised reports with expert recommendations and potential funding opportunities for improvements.
These are undertaken in the form of a PitchPower inspection undertaken by a County Pitch Advisor (CPA)
County Pitch Advisors (CPA) are qualified through the Grounds Management Association to support clubs with raising the standards of playing surfaces as well as the understanding of sports turf management practices among grassroots cricket clubs and use the PitchPower app when undertaking the visit.
A CPA can support leagues and clubs to be reactive to surfaces performance in season and support clubs to be proactive in planning and improving surfaces performances long, medium, and short term. As such they are a valuable resource for clubs & leagues to call upon if required.
