Introducing our Girls HotSHOTS Junior County Academy Programme! ? It's the perfect starting point for junior female cricketers in Bedfordshire & Huntingdonshire. Our goal? To provide top-notch coaching, transitioning players from soft ball to hard ball cricket while building a pathway to produce future county cricketers.
Our Vision:
We continue to work hard and promote the Girls game. If we can create this unique development programme for the girls, we will see more players learning about the game, excelling in their skill development and enjoying their journey in years to come.
With our new structure, we're focused on giving every young player the chance to shine, grow, and enjoy the game. We hope to help clubs in the transition from softball to hardball cricket, welcoming enthusiastic players eager to learn.
No nominations needed! To join, players need to meet at least one of the following criteria:
• Be born within the County
• Permanently live within the County
• Attend an educational establishment within the County
• Be a bona fide playing member of a junior club within the County
During the Winter we introduced the Girls Programme to Under 10 (Year 5) and Under 11 (Year 6) age groups and we now move into the Summer phase of the Programme.
We are running our first Girls U11 HotShots Junior County Academy Programme during the Summer of 2024 and looking to build a large pool of players and help the development of Girls Cricket locally.
This is now an opportunity for any players who were unable to take part in the winter, are new to the area or players who may have progressed during your junior winter training sessions.

Talent ID:
Players can enhance their skills by participating in numerous festivals. Our coaches will lead sessions comprising of match play and observation to identify talent. We encourage players to attend as many festivals as possible, offering short format games with adjusted rules, skills coaching, and maximum engagement.
Performance Days:
We would like to see players take their next step into a competitive environment. Coaches will identify potential players who will then be invited to take part in Performance Days representing either Bedfordshire or Huntingdonshire. These Performance Days will consist of competitive T20 matches against neighbouring counties & representative teams.
