In May we saw Peterborough Wicketz girls and Peterborough Town CC girls join together for a full day of game play and challenge activities at Orton Park CC. The youngsters took part in a mixture of fitness, batting, bowling and fielding drills, as well as learning all of the fielding positions in cricket. Prizes were available throughout the day, and the youngsters were put through their paces by a cricket quiz involving all current news about the men’s and women’s game. JB from CE said it was great to work in partnerships with Peterborough Town CC girls section, and to help develop the game for both Peterborough Wicketz girls and Peterborough Town youth section. The girls had a great day’s experience in brilliant half term weather, and as well as developing their skills also improved their knowledge of the local and national game. and Peterborough Town girls continue their training sessions throughout the summer until the end of October on Tuesday and Saturday evenings and person to contact is head coach 07 or Brian Howard 07793535683
