Cricket East

As announced last week, we are really excited about the new Bedfordshire and Huntingdonshire Women's County Team, entered into Tier 3 of the new Women's County Cricket structure for 2025.

We are now seeking a coaching team so support the planning and delivery of the Women's cricket programme in 2025.

The successful individuals will have proven success in creating a collaborative, supportive and inclusive team ethos (players and support team) within cricket. We are looking for positive role models with a growth mindset and a winning mentality.

The Head Coach we are looking for will be a resilient, emotionally intelligent leader who is accustomed to being accountable for successful team outcomes. A person who is skilled and comfortable with communicating their expectations with honesty, empathy and clarity.

Whilst we are young on our journey of County Women’s cricket, we are extremely ambitious about the future of Women and Girls cricket across Bedfordshire and Huntingdonshire and would expect the coaching team to be equally as enthused and positive about the future of female participation locally. The roles we are seeking within this set up, as well as the requirements involved are details below.

Head Coach - Main Responsibilities

Remuneration - £6000, split across even monthly payments January 2025 to September 2025.

Reporting to the Head of Talent Pathway the successful candidate will:

• Manage of The Bedfordshire & Huntingdonshire Women’s coaching team
• Select the team, in conjunction with the captain and other Team Officials
• Organise and oversee all practice and preparation to ensure optimum performance
• Prepare and implement winter and pre-season programmes, with the aim of attending all sessions.
• Attend all matches
• Work closely with Cricket East Talent Pathway team to understand the pathway, and local club cricket, including regular meetings

Assistant Coach - Main Responsibilities

Remuneration - £4500, split across even monthly payments January 2025 to September 2025.

Reporting to the Head Coach, the successful candidate will:

• 100% attendance at all training and matches
• Have a focused area of coaching to lead on (Batting, Bowling, Fielding, Strength & conditioning.
• Support the Head Coach with planning/preparation for training & games
• Involvement in key decision making linked to strategy and tactics

Support Coaches- Main Responsibilities

Remuneration - £3000, split across even monthly payments January 2025 to September 2025.

Reporting to the Head Coach, the successful candidate will:

• Attend all training events throughout the year.
• Have a focus in a specialist area (Batting, Bowling, Fielding, or Strength & Conditioning)
