Cricket East run three separate competitions in Bedfordshire and Huntingdonshire for primary school aged children. These come in the form of Kwik Cricket competitions where soft balls are used in fully inclusive 8-a-side games. The three competitions are ‘Open’ year 5 & 6, where boys and girls play together, a girls-only tournament and also an ‘open’ Year 3 and 4 competition.
All competitions take place between April and June and include district rounds played at the local cricket clubs, building up to a County Finals Day.
Cricket East supports local festivals in Bedfordshire and Huntingdonshire from which the winners and runners-up go through to the County Finals (run by Cricket East). The winners of the Year 5/6 Mixed and Girls Competitions then progress to the Kwik Cricket Regional competition.
