Cricket East will be running a Chance to Shine Street League in Luton and Bedford from January 2018, following three years of successful competitions starting 2015.
Chance to Shine Street is an inner-city cricket initiative that uses the game to promote social cohesion and create opportunities in diverse communities affected by anti-social behaviour and youth crime. At sessions, young people (16-24 year olds) play a 6-a-side, fast-paced, high-impact version of tape-ball cricket.
The Luton Street League will start on 19 January at Denbigh High School 6.30-8pm and will run until the end of March.
The Bedford Street League will start on 26 January at Biddenham International School & Sports College and will run until 30 March (dates/times/venue to be confirmed).
